After the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput, a debate on nepotism has started in the film industry. The 34-year-old actor died by suicide on June 14. Since then, fans are blaming Bollywood bigwigs and star kids, who they believe neglected him and didn’t give him his due.
Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has been receiving constant backlash by the trolls in the form of comments, tags and even in DMs. Now, the actress tweeted her response and shared multiple messages she received, full of hate and abuse after Sushant’s death.
Sharing the screengrabs of the same, she wrote that she is turning off the comments section of her social media handles and also her team is reporting the accounts of trollers.
She tweeted, “This is some of comments coming my way. All the media and all the people who’ve encouraged this sort of behaviour and instigated it. This is on you. People talking about how one should have been kind to someone are doing worse to others.”
Sharing some more screenshots, she further wrote, “I encourage you guys to see my comment section. And I’m sure you don’t hope that the same comes your way. I hope your parents don’t have to see this sort of this stuff.”
This is how people reacted to Sonam’s accusations …
Not just Sonam, but other star kids are also receiving similar hate on social media. Sonam’s tweets come just a day after Sonakshi Sinha, who announced that she was deleting her Twitter account for the sake of her mental well being. Soon after, actor Saqib Saleem too deactivated his Twitter account for a similar reason.
