Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise has sent shock waves across the industry. The 34-year-old actor committed suicide on June 14 at his apartment in Bandra. Reportedly, he was suffering from depression from the last six months.
Many celebs, politicians, fans and others are expresssing their grief over his death and pouring in condolences. Amid this, some old videos of Bollywood actors praising Sushant has also been going viral on social media. In a recent viral video, we can see actress Deepika Padukone talking all praises for Sushant.
The video is from an old interview in which Deepika was asked which actor’s performance does she like in the industry. Taking no time, Deepika said Sushant’s name and said that she really likes his work. Have a look at the video:
Sushant’s death has also raised an important topic i.e. the importance of mental health. As we know, Deepika was quite vocal about her battle with depression. Her Live Love Laugh Foundation is also based on the upliftment of those who are enduring their battle with depression. Post Sushant’s demise, the actress has been trying to spread awareness against depression.
Posting a series of tweets, Deepika has told about the bitter truths about depression. She said that depression is a form of mental illness and has to be looked at that way. She further mentioned how depression has to be treated like any other illness.
She further stated that there should be no differentiation between depression and any other disease like cancer or diabetes. She said that depression is not the same as feeling ‘sad’. In her latest tweet, she mentioned that one cannot snap out of depression.
