Rhea Chakraborty got bail recently after spending almost a month in the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau at the Byculla jail. After coming out of jail, Rhea filed a complaint against her neighbor Dimple Thawani for making ‘false allegations’ to ‘mislead’ investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Post this, actor Riteish Deshmukh applauded this move of the actress and took to social media to show solidarity. “More power to you @Tweet2Rhea – Nothing is more powerful than TRUTH,” he tweeted.
For the unversed, Rhea’s neighbor Dimple Thawani claimed that she saw Sushant Singh Rajput dropping Rhea Chakraborty home late at night on 13th June, the night before Sushant died of suicide.
Rhea in her complaint said, “The allegation was that the late Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my residence in his car on the 13th of June 2020, which is utterly false.”
Her lawyer Satish Maneshinde called Dimple’s statement a baseless rumour. “It’s a baseless rumor by a fan, who is part of the media circus and wants to share the limelight with others who claim to know SSR,” he had said.
Meanwhile, the CBI reportedly warned her not to speak anything that is not true or acknowledged by her, otherwise, she could face grave consequences.
