Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has left everyone in shock and has put several Bollywood A-listers like Karan Johar, Salman Khan and others under the scanner. Social media is flooded with posts related to star power and how the bigshots in Bollywood ‘bully’ the outsiders. Recently director Abhinav Kashyap confessed how Salman Khan’s family has ruined his career.
Sushant’s fans are demanding justice for the actor and as of now #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput is trending top on Twitter.
Amidst all this, actress Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Amin has issued a statement condemning Sushant’s death and made serious allegations against superstar Salman Khan. Jiah Khan ended her life when she was just 25 in 2013. She was found hanging at her residence in Mumbai.
Jiah’s mother blamed her boyfriend, actor Sooraj Pancholi, for her death. He was charged with abetting Jiah’s suicide. In the suicide note written by Jiah, it is clearly mentioned that Sooraj Pancholi ruined her life. However, the case was tossed by declaring it as a suicide and not murder.
Now Rabia in a video message said that Sushant’s case has reminded her of 2013 when her daughter also took this drastic step. She further accused Salman of using his power and resources to ensure Sooraj Pancholi was not interrogated in the suicide case.
“My condolences to Sushant Singh’s family. It is very heartbreaking, it is not a joke. Bollywood has to change, Bollywood has to wake up. Bollywood has to completely demolish bullying.
Whatever is happening, it reminded me of 2015 when I went to meet the CBI officer. He had called me down from London, said please come we have found some incriminating evidence. I land up over there, he says, ‘Oh, by the way, Salman Khan called me up, he calls me every day and he says he has invested a lot of money, please don’t harass the boy, please don’t interrogate him, don’t touch him. So what can we do madam?’ The officer also seemed frustrated and annoyed by these things.
And if this is the scenario, if you’re going to pressurize and use your money and power to sabotage investigations, then I don’t know where citizens are going to go? I want to say, please stand up; fight, protest and stop this toxic behavior in Bollywood.”
