Ananya Panday Compared ‘Tony Stark’ To Her Dad, Netizens Trolled Her Brutally –

There are days when the slightest of comparison can make people go bonkers. Last year, Akshay Kumar had compared the Housefull franchise with the cult Avengers. While talking about how he wants to bring all the primary actors from the earlier parts of the movie in one film, he had said, “I feel it will be our own version of Avengers but it will be a comedy Avengers.” But people didn’t react much back then.

But when Ananya Panday called her dad Chunky Panday, Tony Stark, a character from the Marvel movies, in a picture she posted on her social media, trolling began almost immediately.

Ananya posted a picture with her father and Farah Khan. Captioning the picture, the actress wrote, “Posing with Tony Stark and the hottest principal EVER!!! Thank you for having us @TheFarahKhan #BackBenchers.”

In the picture, Chunky is indeed sporting the Tony Stark goatee. Bhumi Pednekar commented, “OMG same Tony Stark”, and Chunky Panday himself wrote, “Ha Ha Ha Tony Stark and #irongirls congratulations @ananyapanday for winning tonight.”

But as Ananya addressed her dearest daddy as ‘Tony Stark’, the actress got heavily trolled by fans for her caption. Some even expressed happiness that Tony Stark wasn’t alive to see this.

Have a look:

For the unversed, Tony Stark is a character portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film franchise.

But this isn’t the first time that a Bollywood celeb has been trolled for such a comparison. Actress Janhvi Kapoor too became a target of trolls when she had expressed her wish of playing a female Joker after the grand success of Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’.

She had said, “I would love to play a female character that’s just as uninhibited as the Joker… Times are changing, but I still I think we need to have a little less sanitised role for women. The best such role I can think of, in the Indian context, is the one played by Nutan in Bandini.”
