Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss India and then Miss Universe in 1994 after which she made her Bollywood debut in 1996 with Dastak. After that, she was seen in a handful of movies like Sirf Tum, Biwi No. 1, Main Hoon Naa. However, she was not seen on the big screen for a long time.
Now, the actress made her web screen debut with Aarya. The series was received well by critics as well as her fans. Aarya is about a widowed lady who is pushed into the drug business after her husband’s death. It also stars Chandradhur Singh, Sikander Kher, Manoj Bajpayee among other important roles.
Recently she hosted a ‘ask me anything’ session on her Twitter account and answered all the questions her fans asked her about her life and career choices.
Amid the raging nepotism debate, one of the fans asked Sushmita about how did she survive nepotism in Bollywood. The tweet read, “How you survived Nepotism in Bollywood ?? In one word #AskAarya”
Sushmita replied saying, “By focusing on my Audience…YOU GUYS!!! I will continue to work as an actor as long as YOU want to see me!! #simpleenough #AskAarya”
For the unversed, the debate around nepotism was sparked in Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14. Big stalwarts like Karan Johar and Salman Khan are at the main target of the trolls.
