Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrayed the late poet and author Saadat Hasan Manto, who struggled with his existential crises during partition. The film was directed by Nandita Das and was also screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
Rajkummar Rao starred as Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani descent, who was arrested for kidnapping foreigners in India. It also featured the plotting of the murder of Daniel Pearl.

This movie highlights the life of Malavath Poorna, a 13-year-old residing in Telangana, who became the youngest girl to scale Mount Everest in 2014.
The Alia Bhatt starrer was based on the life of a local Kashmiri girl Sehmat, who marries a Pakistani Army officer in order to spy and provide useful info for her country during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The film follows her journey from daughter to wife, and then spy as she risks her life to protect her nation.

‘Super 30’, starring Hrithik Roshan is based on the life of Anand Kumar, a Patna-based mathematician and founder of the Super 30 coaching institute. Bordering on the lines of a biopic, the film also sheds light on this Maths wiz and the role he played in coaching his thirty students to ace their exams and catapult their careers.
