With the long grey beard and high-power spectacles, Big B’s who playing an old man in the movie looks grumpy for some reason. He went on to reveal that it took almost three hours for him to get into that look. One of the most awaited movies, the film also marks Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana’s first onscreen appearance together.
Not just with physical looks, Big B is a master of transformation even when it comes to rocking heavy costumes! It is being said that Amitabh Bachchan’s popular chained arm sleeve in the movie Shahehshan weighed somewhere around 18 kgs!
Eklavya: The Royal Guard
As the name suggests, Amitabh Bachchan is seen playing the role of a royal guard pulling off a Rajasthani look. He is adorably carrying Rajasthani attire with a pagdi and a little curved mustache.
In the movie Chehre, Amitabh Bachchan’s look saw him sporting huge specs along with a thick beard that ties at the end. The star wore a loosely fitted coat with a muffler and a French beret. Directed by Rumi Jaffery, Chehre also stars Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty, and Kriti Kharbanda.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy
Amitabh was seen wearing a saffron shawl paired with a thick grey mustache and beard. Although he played a supporting role, his character was pivotal. He played the role of Gosaayi Venkanna, the mentor and guru of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, which is played by Chiranjeevi.
Thugs of Hindostan
Amitabh Bachchan’s rough look in Thugs of Hindostan reminded the audience of Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. In a warrior outfit with an armor, long unkempt hair, and beard, Bachchan looked perfect as the commander of Thugs, Khudabaksh Jhaazi.
102 Not Out
In 102 Not Out, Amitabh Bachchan portrayed the role of a 102-year-old father to a 75-year-old son played by Rishi Kapoor. You will be surprised to know that it took him seven hours long makeup session every day to play the character more than his actual age!
Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
Amitabh Bachchan played a special cameo role in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. His role was of an artist who played bugle and sang and danced on the streets in the movie. Dressed in multi-coloured patchwork long coat with beaded hair and head covered with a hat decorated with ribbons, flowers and feathers, Big B looked simply amazing.
In Paa, Amitabh played the character of a 12-year-old kid Auro, who suffered from a rare genetic condition called progeria. The actor underwent an extreme transformation with the prosthetic makeup. With this movie, Amitabh Bachchan proved that no one can beat him when it comes to transformation.
In Cheeni Kum, Big B played a successful chef and owner of a famous Indian restaurant in London who falls in love with Tabu who is less than half his age. Amitabh was seen sporting a ponytail and white French-beard in the movie.
